New movies typically get to streaming services through a process of negotiation and licensing agreements between the movie studios and the streaming platforms. Once a movie has completed its theatrical run and any subsequent home video releases, the studio will negotiate with various streaming services to license the rights to stream the movie on their platform. This can involve bidding wars between the streaming services to secure the rights to popular new releases. Once a deal is reached, the movie is then made available for streaming to subscribers of the platform. **

New movies are not immediately offered online because movie studios and distributors typically follow a traditional release schedule to maximize their profits. They first release the movie in theaters to generate box office revenue and create buzz around the film. After the theatrical run, they then release the movie through other distribution channels such as DVD, Blu-ray, and digital platforms. This staggered release strategy allows them to capitalize on different revenue streams and reach a wider audience. Additionally, movie theaters often have exclusive rights to screen new releases for a certain period of time before they become available for online streaming. **
